Xbox360 Problems

I really don't get what most of you do to your 360's. Launch day machine here and I've never had a problem.

*Touch wood*

turn it on and expect it to work?
shame they don't. Fingers crossed this new one doesn't give up the ghost.

Over exageration. Of all my real life friends that have one, i'm the only one who has to had to have one replaced. Twice I've replaced it while all my friends and family are still on their first.

Lots of the people from here though on my FL have had replacements.

I got my xbox on xmas day and today playing R6: Vegas it froze :( Its ok on other games though.

I didn't believe the sites that said this until it happened to me, but its just a matter of time before it starts on other games.

I hope not. It hasn't happened on Rainbow 6 after it had crashed, we were playing for about 1hr+ after the freeze. I suppose it could be a glitch because it was just as my mate was about to pick up a gun i had never seen before.

Ive read a few forums & websites, and apparently if the 'brick' is suspended it stops the freezing.

a lot of people use string to suspend the 'brick' to stop it heating. Aswell as this placing them on cans.

Apparently this worked for a lot of people, one post said:

'I have had my Xbox360 on for 4 hours now with the battery pack suspended and it hasnt frozen once'

You recon that works?

By suspended you mean.... Hanging from the ceiling with 2 pieces of string?
from anywhere..off a chair etc.

they said they tied string to it and hung if off something, so i assume anything they can really..

you recon it would work?

I wouldn't think suspending it would be any different to standing it on a hard surface instead of a carpet (where it could well overheat).
I've always sat mine on the TV bench and it hardly feels warm to the touch let alone hot, probably explains why I've never had a single problem with my 360.

It will certainlly keep it cooler than it was when sitting on a carpet, but it would be a hassle changing games.

didn't make a difference for me. My problem was somewhere in the console itself (overheating I assume).
