XCOM 2: War of the Chosen

I hear it's so big they almost made it xcom 3,but felt it tied in to much with xcom 2 and want to do something else for 3...if true defo worth the price, one of the very few proper pc games, so I'm defo preordering now, I know for sure I'll get my monies worth.

You guys do understand that steam isnt the only online shop for selling games. It has not been the goto store for the cheapest prices for years.

There is a massive thread on the steam forums of people complaining about the £35.99 price tag full of people that dont seem to realise that with a few seconds of google searching you can pre-order for under just under £20.00, on sites that guarantee to price match if it drops lower.

As someone else has mentioned above, the Lead Game Designer has said its the biggest expansion Firaxis have ever done and was very close to being split of into becoming XCOM3. So whilst it might not be worth £35.99 it sounds like there is going to be plenty of content.

I know it can be had cheaper doesn't mean I don't feel that on steam there taking the **** does it. There setting the price on steam not steam itself

I loved all the earlier incarnations but am yet to play the new X-COM 1. Should I just jump to 2. Is it that much better? (limited gaming time etc..)

The original xcom1 expansion was pretty sizeable but I'd agree that it should really be more like £20-25 RRP given you still need the original game to play. Feels like they're gouging fans who want it day one with the pricing to be honest.

Time to check a few cd keys sites!

I'm still desperately trying to get X-com 2 long war 2 finished before this drops.
I'm not sure my mind can comprehend how big xcom2+WotC will get once parvonis (LW1/2's maker) get their hands on it.

Anyone here finished long war 2 yet? :p

I have only just started vanilla xcom 2 really enjoying it despite some long loading times and a couple of crashes. I will pick up this expansion when price drops a bit
