Anyway, you've given me an idea. We should go classical Italian and make the avatars Roman(*). There's already a system of ranks that could be used, both civil and military. The ban hammer could be replaced with the vine staff of a centurion. It all fits.

Of course, since it's 2022 we must blackwash everything and pretend that most Romans were "black" because reasons.

* Some people will argue that Romans weren't Italian because Italy didn't exist until recently, but ancient Romans used the word 'Italia' just as modern Italians do. That's where modern Italians got the word from.
