My only hope is that it doesn't turn out to be one of those forums that only fills up 20% of your browser window like so many websites out there.

An updated platform that receives security updates and keeps your account safe - oh and lots of minor but useful quality of life improvements.

Nope - definitely doesn't - seems to scale as well as the current one, whilst also adding support for mobile and other smaller screen / lower res devices.

this is what I am waiting for, I cant view it at the moment its pointless, bravo regardless of what type of software it is.
 
I'm all for this now tbh... What is the avatar/signature situation? What rank structure will it use? I'm hoping there is still a uniform theme, but perhaps more avatars to choose from? Hopefully slightly larger (dimensions and file size) signatures allowed? :)

maybe just wider. :p

Xenforo should be able to prevent sigs too large from being applied, so less mod work.

Pretty sure it will just be the same OcUK forum you know and love, but on a different platform - the majority of things will stay the same.

XenForo is NOT vBulletin.

It is NOT a fork of vBulletin

The code base, coding standards, coding methodology is 100% different.

The reasons Keir and Mike left vBulletin to start up XenForo are well documented, and waiting for updates was not one of them.
 
I honestly can't wait for this update, hopefully for the mods sake everyone takes to it well, it's a powerful piece of software and as a mainly adult based forum based around technology, everyone can act like an adult and embrace technological development.

They had to settle a lawsuit because they stole the code and IP :)
