For all of you who have fitted aftermarket xenons to your car, where did you buy them from, how much did you pay and what colour temperature did you go for?

I haven't bought mine yet but I plan to go for 6000k ones as these seem the most natural and best to me.

lower than 6k isn't white enough and 8000k ones just look blue.

What car have you got?

Get the projector headlights for your type of car first though or it won't look right, regardless of MOT status, will dazzle other drivers.

As Fox said, you need OEM projector headlights first.

Here's the pattern from a standard reflector with a standard halogen bulb:

Fitting more powerful bulbs will jus make this light spread worse!

And here's the pattern from an HID projector (with a standard halogen bulb too):

The difference is substantial - and it's the proper beam pattern that will prevent you from dazzling other drivers.

I've got HID's on mine.

They are 6000k and cost £120.

I got mine from here turborevs.co.uk He came to fccuk and gave us a good price on HID kits. A lot of people have bought them and have been happy.

I'm guessing that the JDM headlights are projectors.

The difference is a more precise beam pattern. With a standard headlight a lot of light goes everywhere other than where you want it. As the picture above shows.

With a projector, the light pattern is precise, so it doesn't dazzle oncoming traffic. Theerefore when you fit even brighter headlights, it doesn't blind oncoming traffic, where with a normal headlight you will.

Im still not sure what you mean by projector. This is what my headlight looks like. Im assuming I can buy a kit of the bay and fit it.

Bought some off the bay about 5 months ago, cheapest ones I could find and now one light is considerably dimmer than the other.
Not happy, but can't be bothered to even think about returning them as they were from Honk Kong. :(

I have Xenons fitted to my Audi, they are self leveling and the car has headlight washers fitted which I believe are a legal requirement for cars fitted with Xenons.

Are there no regulations regarding Xenons?

Some tossers fit extremely bright ones to their cars which I find extremely dazzling when night driving, even with full beam turned off.

They do look cool though :D
