I assembled a PC for a mate who is studying film-making some 8 months ago.
He is working in Photoshop and Premiere most of the time and sometimes the screen turns black and you need to restart the PC.
Firstly l thought it was a driver issue. I have tried several Nvidia drivers but the problem is still there. I run the Heaven benchmark and l can see artifacts on the screen. CPU & GPU are running at stock so this isn't an OC issue. The GPU temperatures are fine and the PSU is a Corsair 750W that is a good brand so it should provide the power the 285 needs.
Only thing l can think of is that the PSU is dying, but l doubt it. I have the same PSU and will test it later on to see if the artifacts are still there. Other possibility is that the VRAM of the GPU is dying.
Any ideas guys?
