XFX 6850 Clicking fan

So i have had this card for about a month and it works great.

Recently however the fan has started clicking, its not that loud but it drives me insane.
I have tried messing with the fan but I have no idea of how to fix it.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Yeah I was thinking i might have to do that but I did not want to resort to all that hassle, but hey if it must be done

does it catch on anything like SATA connections or the power lead ?

Or even catching on the heatsink its self, like a bent fin or something?

I remember reading something about this being a problem with some of the DCII cards, so its possible it could happen on other cards too I suppose.

I have looked and didn't see it catching on anything
I thought that xfx had a good warranty system, though I have seen people on here saying to steer clear of them

if its faulty then dont tamper with the card

where did you buy it from ?

i cant really name competitors but if yyou type in the name of a very popular auction site and add er to that then its the first result on google, i have had to return stuff to that site in the past and they were good but the product was completely broken.
I may just avoid the trouble and get an after market cooler, what are the thoughts on doing that ?
Also are there any coolers that stand out in this field

Aftermarket coolers can be expensive. I paid 50 quid for my Thermalright Shaman, it is totally awesome though, if a little on the large side. Maybe an accelero extreme plus or twin turbo? So much quieter than stock/reference solutions.

Putting one of these Puppies on will surely invalidate your warranty
