XFX 7950 DD Ghost or are they..?

Cards installed and they are running a 7950 bios. I have 1792 shaders per card.

The good thing is that both cards are happily running at 1200/1600. This is without much trying so they may possibly go higher but tbh with two of them I'm happy with them clocks.

They are also very quite even both under load is only a slight woosh.

Great cards, They are one of the best looking cards on the market. I do wish i went for the DD model instead of the black edition as I got the standard reference cooler, Which isnt that great.

Are those good figures Moogleys? :o

You need to compare them to your cards now ;)

My cards are in a pc that is hopefully being picked up in the next 15 mins. These cards run 1.030v stock and seem to overclock better. I have them running at 925/1375 which is stock 7970 clocks and this is fine for me. Everything runs perfect so no real need for any more.

They do get quite loud when pushed hard but it's rushing air sound so not annoying. The temps are weird both cards seem to idle at around 40.c and max out on 7970 clocks at about 65-70.c. The second card turns off when not in use although this does seem completely random if it does it or not.

BF3 at 120hz 1080p ultra settings remains over 60fps even on multiplayer 64 player maps.

Very tempted to buy one. Not really worth going from 6950 @ 6970 shaders. 1920x1200 aswell. Hmmm... Wait till the 8*** series?

I had a 6970 and noticed quite a jump going to the 7970. The 7950 is only fractionally slower than the 7970 and pretty much the same when clocked up. I run 1080p 120Hz so having the pair makes a noticeable difference. For 60hz a single 7950 will be more than enough tbh.

These pics show the difference in coolers between the 7950 DD Black edition and the 7950 DD with the 7970 cooler. See how much more copper the cooler has...

7950 Black edition 6+6 power cooler.
