XFX ARE PANTS RMA

This XFX rma seems abit crappy, but is it relay worth all the stress over a 9500 GT? It's probably worth less than what it will cost to post to them.

CAPS RAGE

always buy your computer hardware from a reputable dealer - namely OcUK

Very helpful to the OP, I can only see that comment making him feel even worse than he already does. And anyway, I've heard a few OcUK horror stories in the past so you're far from being angels yourselves, hence why we're not allowed to talk about any negative OcUK experiences on these forums.

I have sympathy for the OP - his use of capitals ,lack of spelling accuracy or poor grammar have nothing to do with his situation.

Agreed.

Some of the posts in this thread are bordering on trolling imo.

I thought i would do a search to find out if anyone else was having the same issues with the extremely poor XFX returns service. I must have around 8 cards registered to my XFX account, all of which are very expensive and performance cards (in their time).

Recently a 485GTX went faulty and was over 1year old and the supplier would not return it and said i need to contact XFX. I thought this was fine as its normally standard that anything older than 1 year you go to the manu (unless stated elsewhere). I contacted XFX and they didnt event try to help diagnose the issue but said speak to the dealer/ supplier where i purchased the card.

Now i seem to be in a loop (deadlock). I am not too sure how you have managed to get past XFX standard talk to the supplier sentence as all they seem to do with my replies now is copy paste and close!

I dont think i will be going back to XFX again because of the hassle i am getting. I wouldnt have minded if they said pay for shipping, ship to this address with an RMA and i wait it out.

The cards themselves are good, nicely packaged and stats are good on them but the returns process if something goes wrong is just one big pain the the ass.

what the... i bought an american 5850 off notebookreview.com got it before it was in the UK and the owner who sold it me transfered the xfx warrenty over. if i log on their site it says what cards i have regiestered and if its in warrenty or not. as always europeans with the second class peasant service

well sent card off to xfx to betested as they offered me a deal on another card

no fault found said the tech.

asked what had to be done to get the card working, and was informed that the card had to have a bios update to work with new drivers 181.22 upwards.

did any one on here have to update their 9500 GT bios to get them working ?

Surely they should have asked you to do this before sending the card back ?

lol i just bought an xfx 5770 this post made me worry a bit until i seen someone say always buy your prducts from ocuk cos they are the best, i could have bought from a cheaper website a simular card but i payed a little bit more because i know ocuk have second to none customer service i'm glad now lol.

Lol does it really matter how I spelled or being in caps I touch type so once your on a role the last thing u want to do is rewrite the whole lot

At the end of the day I got the card sorted in the end by sticking to my guns u can be polite as u like and it don't get u any where to many in the uk bend and take it

If your right argue the point after all you paid for the item and they are getting paid to sort your problem

In my experience you shouldnt give up on your first try. You may get someone different willing to help you on your 2nd try if you try contact them at a different time.
Kinda like when i brought bad company 2. Had a problem where the serial key was accepted on EADM so could download the game but when i went to login on the game menu it would ask for key again and say key in use so was unable to play on MP

The serial key was genuine but brought from a unoffical key seller on ebay with high rating

Contacted EA on live support and the first guy gave me the run around. But the 2nd time i tryed i got someone different who gave me a new key to use when i explained the problem and provided some screenshots.
Maybe try contact them again but loose the CAPS

Had lots of bother with XFX in the past, will never go near them again. Now have BFG only cards :D, dont laugh.

I thought uk law stated that new items sold must have a minimum warranty period, and that at the end of the day the manufacturer is responsible for this, and at no point is the retailer 100% responsible for warranties
