I just come home from work to find my wife has brought a faulty 4890 off ebay as she fed up of not been able to play sims.

Basically the seller said the card will boot sometimes but has a power interrupt according to the diagnostic leds.

I have done some research and not allot about so was wondering if you guys had any ideas.

She didn't pay very much so I’m not too bothered if it doesn’t work but it would be nice to have a card again.
 
She bought a card that the buyer said was faulty?

My idea would be to tell her to stop buying broken electronics, and then go out and buy something around £70.
