Hi,

Im thinking of getting the 5 port version of this with two seagate 7200.10 320gb drives and setting this up in RAID3 with a 300gb drive i already have.

now, when the time comes, is it possible to wack another 2 drives into the array without loosing the data already there?

thanks

It is but it takes an AGE to rebuild the array (like a few days) whilst still being accessible.

I had both 5 port and 3 port of this card (latter FS BTW) but the downside is the number of drives producing heat, using power and making noise. I thinkj the 3 porter is a better compromise on those factors at least.
