bah, i havent got a clue what to buy ANYONE :(

anyone else in the same boat? it's quite sad cus i know i'll end up buying people stuff they don't really want

</rant></ba'h humbug>

anyone got any "unusual" gift ideas?

I don't buy anything for my family except for my younger sister, if your "adult" family are to shallow to think that vouchers are **** then don't bother.

magazine subscriptions
i'm getting my grandma 6 months of 'peoples friend' delivered as her main present
its the gift that keeps giving!

oxfam have some great gifts - for the person who has everything, why not 'donate' something in their name?

Mum- me and bro/sis are getting her some strictly come dancing tickets
Sister and husband - Probably get an adopt a vine(wine) giftbox. I'm going to try and find something better but If I still can't find anything this is my fall back plan.

No idea about my bro, he earns shed loads and just buys what he needs.

Nope! :)

All mine are bought and wrapped already.

Girlfriend: Beauty products i know she likes, books, cd's, jewellery box + a few little suprises (Mainly gig tickets for next year) - i apoted an elephant for her a couple of years back that is still going strong!
Sister: Stuff for new house she has just moved into
Brother in Law: Jack Daniels
Nephew: Bob the Builder stuff
Nieces: Barbie stuff and make-up kits etc
Mum: Perfume set
Girlfriends Brothers & Dad: DVD's
Friends Kids: Disney Cars stuff.
Me: 3 new golf clubs! :)

Apart from that i always invite the g/f's familly for Xmas dinner and my familly for Boxing day dinner, they don't have to cook and can get merry (i like cooking and i've always got a monster hangover on Xmas day anyway that put's me off drinking)

People keep asking me what I want for Christmas, and I havent got the foggiest!!!
Someone give me ideas please.

How about tickets to see a band? You can always make a night of it for them by taking them out for a meal before hand and then acting as taxi service so that they can both have a drink.

This year I've bought my parents tickets to see the Osmonds at Sheffield Arena as they've wanted to see them for years. All I need to do now is book into a nice restaurant closer to the gig date and we're good to go :)

For my mum I'm either going to buy some DVDs or a Red Dwarf series and for my grandma, because I don't have much money, I'm going to take pictures of the family and develop them at school myself. No idea what to get for my dad, brother or sister though.

WIPASSSS!

Don't have a clue what to get anyone, glad ive got a wee sis I give the money to and she gets it all :D

i'd rather not get any presents and not have to give any tbh. mind you i'd rather not have christmas at all for that matter :p

some good ideas in this thread though :)

I'm fine buying for the old man, but for mother / sister it's a complere 'mare. No idea what to get them at all so I end up just asking them what they want. Dad / brother-in-law is easy enough though - one's a major Pink Floyd fan and my dad loves anything electronical / music from 70's :)

So at the moment it's looking like:

Brother-in-law: Pink Floyd t-shirt + whiskey
Dad: New Rolling Stones double CD + £20
Sister: Bones Season 2 DVD box set
Mum: I gave her £30 to get something for herself, so she bought a new kettle + toaster :/
