XML advice

Hi,

Any one any decent links covering the basics of XML that isn't complete tech speak? From understanding what it is, to actually using it in real life applications.

XML is just a structured way of representing data that also has the useful convenience of being human readable. What are you looking to do ?

My colleagues have to record figures every 30 mins for a bingo game on a well known Bingo site...it's a ball ache as its constantly missed.

Google shows a post that they offer xml info to affiliate sites so I've requested permission to have the info for it.

I need to know how to use that info to get what I want

Get it to record the info from them every 30 mins from 8am until midnight.

Doesn't sound like understanding the data will be tough then, probably a glorified array.

You can use standard XML libraies to parse the data and get what you want.

What language will you be using (Python or would be my initial suggestion depending on the criticality and environment)
