I really wanted to run xmms2 (having used xmms before) on my laptop installed with ubuntu 8.04. I have tried using the Synaptic Packager manager to install it, but when it runs I get a terminal message saying that xmms2d is not running. If I try using gxmms, the same error message appears in the graphical client window.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do please?
