XMP Profiles not detected in BIOS or CPU-Z? Problem?

I'm using a a 16GB Team Group DDR4 2400MHz kit (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-058-TG) with an ASUS X99-S and have noticed that it doesn't appear to expose any XMP profiles to either the BIOS (shows as disabled with no options in the drop down menu), and in CPU-Z the SPD Ext. box in the SPD tab is greyed out.

Is this normal/OK?

Going slightly off topic for this sub-forum but the reasons for suspecting somethings up were due to boot instability problems.

The system has been randomly unstable on boot and I'm suspicious that the RAM *may* be the issue, running at stock with latest ASUS BIOS and drivers it will boot to windows 8.1 without problem repeatedly then on occasion it will go though post before hitting a blank screen rather than continuing on to windows, it takes a few reboots before it will eventually come up.

I'd seen some reports that disabling ATTEMPT FAST BOOT and ATTEMPT FAST COLD BOOT in the DRAM TIMING section has resolved others problems with boots and have done the same, but it hasn't gone away.

I've reseated the GPU, RAM, and all cables connectors, I'm sitting mid 20s at idle and tops out at 57 running prime 95 with all cores at 100% and ram near 100% utilisation - which is the weird bit, once running it seems rock solid...

Should I return the RAM and go with a different brand, Corsair probably.

System:
Asus X99-S (current BIOS 0904)
Intel 5820K (at stock)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 (at stock)
TeamGroup Elite 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit
Crucial MX100 512GB SATA (connected to one of the ASMedia SATA ports)
Corsair Carbide 540 Case
SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W
Corsair Hydro H105 AIO Cooler
Windows 8.1

Hi bud, there have been a few kits that are missing their XMP programming. Put it down to launch rush gremlins. RMA the kit and get something else. Corsair LPX are decent 2666 or 2800.
