XMP vs Own Settings

Hello all,

Is it better to just use XMP for memory timings or is it worth inputting your own settings?

Would there be any benefit to performance by doing it yourself?

I have a 16gb kit of Corsair Vengence Pro RGB 3600mhz and running on XMP. Checking and the memory chips are samsung so not sure if I can get some more performance out of them.

Any suggestions on settings and help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Do you want to spend hours tuning and testing stability for what will be a marginal gain on a 3600MHz kit in most real use cases? If you don't then just leave it on XMP.

it is fun
Don`t get me wrong it is upsetting to get blue screens a week down the line
You get better performance but depends on a lot of factors if it is little or a bit more
