The D2X is supposed to have extra "Vista features", whatever that means.
Plus PCI is on the verge of extinction if it's true that the SouthBridge of Intel X48 boards is completely legacy free meaning that it doesn't default support PCI.

Bet those extra features are just "compatible Vista drivers"
I would have idealy liked and prefered to have seen a card exclusively designed for Vista on the pciexpress connection, but then I dont think Xfi 2 is due anytime soon just yet.

Dont think they got it right from the soundblaster 1 even lol
Xfi 2 was rumoured off and apparantly coming but havent heard of any concrete or reliable info really.
Proberly as everyones said the Xonar is the best choice atm, Xfis still a solid and top performer regardless.
