xonar d2 problem

just transferred my pc to a new case, however my asus xonar d2 isnt working

sometimes when i boot up windows detects it other times it doesnt at,

now is the card broken or is win7 playing with me?

one of my mates did stoopidly pick it up could he have shorted it?

when it makes the clicking noise it used to make it sounds wrong as well..

heres the rest of my spec:

q9550@4ghz
8gb corsair ddr2 1066
asus p5q pro
corsair hx750
asus ati 4890
win 7 64bit 7100 build

i would like to add the system has been running flawless untill i moved to a

new case:(

Hi, is yours the same as mine with a floppy power connection, if so mine is very tempermental, try wiggling the connection thats what i have to do to mine.
 
mines just the pci version but hmmm :( any other ideas?

edit: yout elling me its tempermental jsut noticed it wanted to work now neways not gna move my pc at all now :D

My card was the same, had to move it to a different slot and it works. However, if i take it out i have to put it in a different slot and start the pc, shut it down and move it back the the other slot, it works fine then.

One slot is right under my GPU fan so ive only one i can use perminantly

i think i know why:

my old case antec 900 never fitted pci cards flush with where u screw it in so u had got give it a lil push towards the screw hole.

over rime it obviously got used to being slightly off to the slot.

in my new case HAF 932 it fits perfectly so ive just moved it to another slot whic seems to have done the trick *fingers crossed* :D
