Xoops anyone?

Does anyone use Xoops? I am particularly stumped on how I edit the 'Message' field for new posts. You know the field in which you type your message before you click on 'Submit'? Here on OcUK it's a reasonable size allowing you to select smilies without having to scroll down because the box is so damn big.
