xp home/pro question

Just to confirm what ive read online, xp home allows multiple cores as long as they are on the same cpu (like a core 2 duo) right? or is pro needed to run a multi core (single cpu) system?

A dual core CPU and XP home will work just fine. If it's an AMD processor, you'd be wise to install their Dual Core Optimizer, though.

thankyou. i expected it would be ok to use home but just wanted to make sure.

There's been issues with that and a certain XP update I believe, just trying to find the thread...
