XP License question

Back to the point in question - neither microsoft nor panasonic will send replacement disks.

Panasonic only do it within 30 days of purchase.....
Microsoft never replace OEM disks

So basically i'm screwed by some ridiculous system leaving me with a useless and worthless licence despite having paid for it because i dont have the CD.

Don't give up that easily. There is a good likelyhood that a standard OEM XP disc will work. If you really can't find anyone that has a copy, send me an email and I'll see what I can find for you :)
