XP Pro, 6GB ram & 4GB Video

Ok, So I understand the 4GB limit in XP 32bit, but what would happen if you also had 4GB video memory, what exactly then would the system address?

Spec is

I7 920
6GB
2x 4870x2

The system doesnt have an OS yet, but they want XP Pro for their existing software packages

I've said they should get Vista Home Premium X64, but a lot of their software isnt compatible

Shouldn't fail to boot tbh but you won't get more than 2GB usable memory out of it.

You are indeed correct, 2.25GB available (which I agree with you all is a complete waste)

I have suggested Vista Home Premium X64 and I am awaiting a response back to see if they go ahead.

Really old is correct Bledd, so much so I said to stop being tight and buy a newer version (one product was windows 95/98 days!)
