XP Pro SP2 now requires Logon!

Hey guys, my parents use XP Pro SP2 and recently I did Windows Update

Before this, whenever you turned the PC on, as they are the only users, there was no welcome screen, classic or otherwise, it just logged straight on to desktop.

Now, after update, it as the stupid Icons or if I choose no welcome screen it goes classic logon prompt

Is this anything to do with the newly added ASP.Net user?

Is there a way to get back the way it was without removing all the critical updates and patches?

Yes delete it, the new user i mean

Yes, go to Control Panel > User Accounts

Then you will see a .Net Account. Delete leaving the files intact. Now the PC should boot straight into your accounts.
