Xp problem

Trying to install xp mce on a new build. Boots ok and copies setup files but then on reboot as it runs the setup it erors with virtual memory error. ANy ideas?

DS3
2 Gig Crucial Avnniversary
X1800 xt
2 Sata Hdd's in raid

Drivers installed for the SATA controller in the first stage?
