A family friend has asked me to look at their PC as its been playing up, and tbh the bset thing for it is a complete reinstall.
There are files missing that are causing problems, and its just generally in a bad way. Ive just about managed to back his important stuff up but now its come to the format and install bit.
He has the XP Pro CD but cant find the serial for it anywhere, is there anyway i can get it from the OS?
Ive tried just repairing from the CD but it keeps just crashing out.
