Hey all,
recently I built a pc for my dad out of old parts etc, and used the hard drive from his old computer, just with an xp repair install. The computer works fine (mostly) except for one rather odd issue where upon clicking "Turn Off Computer" on the start menu the entire computer freezes up for about 5 minutes before displaying the menu to choose whether to shutdown, restart etc. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions to this? When shutdown is chosen it shuts down at a normal speed etc.
The specs of the computer are as follows:
AMD Athlon 3400+ (Socket 754)
Asrock K8SLI-ESATA2
2 Gigs Corsair DDR400
8500GT
