Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a little problem. I've just finished installing XP SP2 on a new PC and when I try to connect to my home network which uses WPA, windows doesn't seem to know about it. It thinks the network is on WEP and there is no option to change it in the drop-down menu. It works fine when the router is using WEP but I'd much prefer WPA.

Can anyone give me a hand ?

Are you using an old Wireless NIC? not all of the support WPA, check with the manufacturer of the card. Also make sure that you are using the latest wireless s card drivers.

I've had this one for a while, it used WPA fine on a different computer, same drivers, same network, I'm rather confused as to what the problem is. Would reinstalling SP2 help?

Yes yes I've got SP2. I was suggesting installing it again, if thats possible. The patch just says that it only works with SP1.
