You don't have to reply if my question offends you so badly.

But thanks for the reply. Appreciated. I like that youtuber review. ill check his other reviews. Your comment suggested a vast difference in gaming a few dropped frames doesn't sound so bad. But im more interested in the camera and gsm arena called it the worst 8mp. I never considered comparing the Moto G with the SP as just assumed from the price it was a class above. The bigger battery and notification light are a big draw for me. Though Sonys over past years seem to have quality issue so I've tended to avoid them. I was going for a moto g till i read this topic. When something is cheap you can over look a few compromises.
Thanks for the links
My replies are for the benefit of the OP principally.
With respect it is definitely not a "a few dropped frames" the benchmark that I linked to show a 20% difference in raw power - this is very much evident in real usage and, I'm sure we can agree, a 20% difference is massive (often a reason for an upgrade if we transpose the situation, for fun, to a graphics card or PC CPU) - it translates to an additional 4-5 fps - which is the difference between a smooth game and clear judder.
the SP beats the Galaxy S3 in general usage and gaming performance even though in this video, for example, the benchmarks are underperforming:

So, considering the price point on the Galaxy S3, to be honest it is a class above the Moto G and offers higher performance than the S3. Regarding the camera it is fine - these - the above video compares both standard and video camera to the S3. the SP has a slightly weaker camera but excellent 1080p 30fps video recording.
oh it's worth waiting for the revised 4.3 update as this is supposed to make changes to the camera (the over processing is attributed to the software it seems)
The Moto G is an excellent budget phone though but considering the SP has 4G too and out performs a Samsung Galaxy S3 and can be had often for £20 more (with one of the cashback offers that I got) than the 16GB moto G it was an easy choice for me.
EDIT: I must submit, though, that the VGA camera on the front of the SP is an insult. Forget video calling with the SP if you care about clarity - it offers a pathetic VGA camera.
