You guessed it, Yet Another Muslim Thread.

I know you all love a discussion when it involves Muslims, so I thought I'd share an article with you that I just found on Yahoo! News. More importantly though, it adds a whole new spin on the issue of Muslim women being allowed to wear a headscarf in certain situations.

LONDON (AFP) - A female Muslim juror has been arrested in Britain after allegedly listening to an MP3 player under her hijab headscarf during a murder trial, police said Monday.

The woman in her early 20s was spotted by a fellow juror listening to music as she was meant to be helping try the case of a pensioner accused of bludgeoning his wife to death after 50 years of marriage.

She could now be charged with contempt of court and, if convicted, may be punished with an indefinite jail sentence and an unlimited fine.

What do you guys think, will she try to get out of it with politically-correct bull or take it standing?

So you don't think that this adds to the debate of wether there should be restrictions on where a headscarf may or may not be worn? Personally I think that they should be forbidden in somewhere like a courtroom, especially if some people are going to abuse the right so they can listen to music under it.

Good on her in my opinion.

But, unfortunately, with the sheer number of British Muslims who seem to throw their dummy out of their pram about this, I think it's an issue.

Articles use stock photos all the time, maybe they simply didn't have a photo of the offender to hand at the time. I don't see how this is misleading, or even relevent really, because as another poster pointed out you can still easily hide earphone wire under that.

Do you actually have any evidence to support your accusation, or are you just plucking at straws? It's far more likely that they just dug out a stock photo because they didn't have one of her.

This is very likely considering she was probably in the cells at the time.

Companies do this all the time. When I worked at BAE Systems in the visual communications department, we had to print with stock photos all the time and remove the numbers from the planes. Ohnoes imposter-plane.
