Well Be has finally been exchanged up! so i can now move from ukfsn!

i have a DG834G V2 router is this okay? i've heard there wireless kit is okay , but does anyone reccomend a decent router?

^ i've not done anythign yet , waiting for my mac code from ukfsn and im 1.5 miles ( 2.4 km) – about 6 mins by road to the exchange
 
Whoo , go live next Tursday! :D have to say bloody good service so far!!

got Mac from ukfsn , phoned BE , gave them mac code ... my account was setup there and then , so i can login via net see whats going on, got an email just now 9:13am , saying!

Your welcome pack with Be Box modem should arrive on 17/07/08
 
^ ill have to wait to get one , utterly skint as its been car service , AA , insurance for the past 2 months :/ oh + photography gear! :P is there any better one than the DG834GT?

£200 to spend ? :P in a months time

i have a DG834G atm!

Also is it worth me asking BE to put on LLU ? now rather than later? my exchange does support it

Good choice if you need wireless-N capabilities. If not, you'd save a lot of cash just getting a Sky branded GT as mentioned above. £15 for a router that will give you the best from your line isn't to be sniffed at

Yeah ill see what happends

going to fit this bebox & get a netgear router upgrade and take it from there really , if i get better than 5MB ill be very happy :)
 
ill see how stable it goes for the next week , is it worth geting on LLU? or whatever its called?

+ ill be getting a new router too
 
Gonna sound gimpy , but what diffrence does the upload make? so the better (or more stable upload ) = better ping ? etc
 
lol i seem a right pain i think , asking to move to unlimited & to go to static IP

hmmm think ill stay dynamic anyways as i use gmail for my email etc.

Well if they have the backing of Be , im sure they will be just as good!

meh , i hate it when i have to change my saved passwords (email ) to sites ... re doing email as ukfsn are no more .!

What is Upload Plus?

Upload Plus utilizes Annex M of the ADSL 2+ standard and allows you to upload files at up to 2.5meg, rather than the standard (up to) 1.3meg. The reason for this is that in order to increase the upload speed we must use some of the frequencies that were previously used for downloading. Upload plus is only available for Be pro members.


i didnt order this so .... would it make any diffrence?
