As i recall you can't, the firmware on the Mac cards is different, maybe flashable though, do you know?

I see you opted for the AFS Financing?

Do you mind me asking what prices you are paying per month over what term?

So instead of waiting one month you thought it would be a good idea to get into debt, yeah good idea. O and if your getting say 2k a month you really should have a small amount like 2k saved up. You could have used that to buy it.

P.S. Nice buy :) i am thinking of getting macbook myself to replace my windows laptop that i never use.

Been with the job 3 weeks, so i havent got it saved up, i'm going to pay it off in like 2 months maybe 3, see what they will say tomorrow.

Meh, they don't take the first payment till you've got the thing and i would have been payed by then. But granted i see your point :) i can't wait for it though, its replacing my windows machine, that is way overdue for an upgrade, its what to do with the old rig though

I might be wrong, but I would imagine that you would be entering into a contract which is a fixed term - meaning you have to pay it over te 24/36 month period you agree to? I wouldnt have thought they would allow you to just pay it off after 3 months as they will be wanting the interest that you will pay over x number of months - to make it worth the administration bull they go through setting it up.

I could have course be completely wrong :)

Well im gonna ring them tomorrow at 12 and say how quickly can i pay it off etc. and shall let you all know. :)

I'm still making payments for my PowerMac, so :p

Graphics card wise, you need a card with a Mac specific BIOS. Which means you're going to be paying £340 for an X1900 XT.

I've had to cancel it :(

due to the fact i found out today my job might not be permenant

/sniff

when i find out whats going on with the job, if i get it permenant i'll re-order but with a x1900xtx
