Yeah my 360 arrived

Well a joyus day was had, my free 360 arrived from my mobile phone contract, only sent the bills of last week. Trip into town at lunch, speak to nice lady at department store, exchange core 360 for prem 360 and pay the differnec

Anyhow picked up DoA4 for £20 so a nice bargin. And got a plug and charge kit doodad.

Few niggles:

1. How do you set it up to turn the console on and off with *** wireless controller?

2. DVD playback is shockingly bad, i have banding all across the screen or the image wobbles. Using it in HDTV mode, through component and Panasonic Ae700 projector. Tested with old xbox and dvd no issues, anyone else come across this in *** past?

To turn it on or off with the controller, hold down the big Xbox logo button for a few seconds.

hi.
i have no problems with dvd playback.
using mine with vga input samsung 26 lcd.
picture quality with games and dvds is great.

You need to make sure you've downloaded all the updates for your Xbox as afaik the recent overall increased DVD playback quality substantially.

Do the updates happen automatically when connected to xbox live?

Yes, it will inform you of an update being available.

Ive let it download the updates, only downloaded one or two thought, should there be more?

Also i thought the 360 upscaled dvd content to hidef? Is this not hte case?
