years from now...

100 years from now we'll have either enacted policies to reduce the population, or the overcrowding will have led to a world war that did the same thing.

China will have completed its industrial revolution and join the rest of the post-industrial western countries. Africa will be the worlds new source of cheap goods.

Donald Trump’s hair will have reached critical mass and exploded to shower millions of small tumbleweed soldiers over the USA. A small percentage of them will finally build the wall before it is burned down 2 days later, with the hair emitting the highest pitch screams anyone could imagine sending dogs crazy for a few days while making babies giggle.

Indeed. Donald Trump's hair is an imminent threat. However, I would speculate that his genitals are a larger threat. Think about it. If those Trump genitals get into action then we'd be living in a world with more Trump's. That's more hair disasters in this world. I couldn't live with that. Could you?

It'll be "The Year of Linux on the Desktop" ?

They'll be no career Politicians ?

I'll still be waiting for my Flying Car - Wait... I'll be dead !

The middle east will be a glass wasteland
Food will be bio-engineered in factories, only the rich will be able to eat real meat.
Average life expectancy will be 130, with retirement age at 100

Judging by your post, the average IQ will be -3. Sorry buddy but I think you're on the wrong track here with your mysterious predictions. Sometimes, a little Vicodin can help :)

We still won't have flying cars like Back to the Future
We still won't have run out of oil
My Mini will still be broken

Do I really need to explain my reasoning in a light-hearted post?

The Middle East is a politically volatile region, in which one of the main powers has nuclear weapons and another is rapidly developing them. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that a nuclear conflict could occur? That's without even factoring in the possibility of a terrorist incident or an attack by an outside power

Food production (particularly meat animals) takes an increasingly large proportion of arable land. As population increases, the requirement for land to provide housing and infrastructure increases, as does the need to produce more food. Bio-engineering offers the potential for intensive low-footprint food production. Meat animals will become prohibitively expensive to rear, both in terms of land usage and food supplies, meaning that only the very rich will be able to afford to buy meat products.

Medical technology is improving at a drastic rate, bringing with it a steady increase in life expectancy. With increased usage of micro-surgery and artificial organs the potential exists for that climb to continue. In order to maintain affordability, governments will find it necessary to increase the pensionable age by an equivalent amount, as has been shown by recent policy changes.

Which part gives you that feeling? All the things he stated could well come to pass.

China will have changed dramatically as the young will no longer accept autocracy and diminished rights.

Why is everyone still anti China and what makes people believe democracy is still better?

They've progressed so much farther and faster than anyone in history through having a centralised plan. Whilst, yes, a few at the top do benefit more than most they have progressed things better for so much of their society and will continue to do so as the west refuse to help their own poor whilst paying "shareholders" and others like god's.

At times I feel a better solution for us all is if we realise what a **** show we are being sold and throw our lot in in with China.
