YESSS!!! fractal define r4 is out!

If it was my case (instead of my R2) I would want 2x 140mm front fans intake, 1x 140mm bottom fan intake with rear 140mm exhaust and probably not butpossible 1x 140mm top back exhaust.
And raise case so you have 50mm clearance for airflow to bottom fans.

hmm - I was thinking of 2x in the front - which I can and will do.
1x at the back is covered by the antec fan, the top one is the one I might invest in.
But for the time being, I'll build it first lol.

Still waiting on parts.

I cleaned it but the "finish" is still there - here's some more pics:
I'm pretty annoyed atm - considering this is brand new from OCUK....Although I understand this is probably Fractal's fault in manufacturing.

Here's the back of my titanium grey r4. Nothing there but I think I did see some markings similar to yours somewhere on the case.

I have some paint chipped off one of the side panels though which has rusted. I think fractal are sending me a replacement, they asked for my address but didn't confirm it was sent.

Well mine is brand new, so surely it should be OCUK that deal with it?

Although the back won't be seen - I'm just a little worried that it has something wrong with it.
Especially after 2 little rivet heads fell out - No idea where they came from.

The "2 little rivet heads".. are they short pins with a roundish ball kinda head? If so they are the pins from inside the pop-rivet and won't hurt a thing.

Ok, well OCUK, have been kind enough to do the following:
-Pick up my old case today
-Deliver another one before 12 tomorrow

That's great customer service :)
Disappointed in Fractal for having a defect and not QC'ing their products.

Good!

Fractal Design are good people. And so is OcUK. ;)

well, they are all a good bunch - but it should be noted about fractal's quality control here.
They also didn't reply to me on facebook (i know its fb but still).

OCUK on the other hand have been very good in turning it around. I'm sure they lost money on next day delivery before 12, and pick-up. Which i would expect fractal to pay for those costs to OCUK.
Props to OCUK is all I'm trying to say.

I have had dealings with Fractal Design twice and couldn't be happier.

But yes, props to OcUK for sure. No fuss, no muss, just great service!

I have to say I'm a little unimpressed by the overall build quality of the Fractal - one minor hit to the front edge, and the front panel goes flying off.
More so, the fan switch pops out really easily.

Fan slots, that have the foam material inside, are already tearing apart, as they were screwed in by Fractal, and thus made the screw grab the edge of the foam inner bits and twist/cut them.

There is NO additional screws provided for the fans - what if I lose one - what happens then?
I'm screwed - literally.

The Silent fans, that come with the case, are brilliant at the FRONT and SIDE, however when put on top, going either IN or OUT with the air flow, they are extremely noisy (due to no spacing between the grill and fan)

I mean I'm maybe expecting a bit too much here - but when you pay £100 for a case, one would expect these things to be carried out and thought about, especially considering the R4 is brand new.
