Yet Another Ebay Scam?

Yep, i'm not daft and would never give my details out, it's just the 1st time someone's tried to scam me on eBay. I've just reported him ...

not necessarily a scam, but you sold as locked to Voda, it is locked to Voda ...so whatever.
might want to offer refund and cancel purchase. more potential trouble down the line with this.

Sent a message back to him saying saying i'm not sending any of my details and he replies ....

That's fine, there is no need to get worked up, I am not trying to wriggle out of a deal since I have already committed to buying it. I am a genuine ebayer with feedback three times that of yours. I am not after your details for any ulterior motives, but was only wondering if you could help me out with a 10p and a 5 minute phone call to Vodafone. Since you are not willing to do that I would just pay for the phone.

Kindly please make sure that the phone is wrapped up properly before you post it out

Told him not to bother paying as i've reported him.

Yeah, I don't really get the issue here. The guy has bid for the phone not realising it is locked to Vodafone. He then asks if it's possible for you to get it unlocked and you've reported him??

Why should he offer a refund? The item was advertised as being Vodafone, ergo there is no reason why the buyer didn't know exactly what they were bidding on. Tell them to jog-on and to pay more attention to the adverts of the items they bid on in the future.

This is a massive overreaction on your part if I've ever seen one. All you had to do is email back telling him all he needs is the IMEI number and it'd probably be done and dusted.

Nothing wrong with his request imho, I think you need a long standing account to get the free unlock which you should have done before selling anyway.
