And looking at his feedbacks in the last month of 11 neutral and 6 negative for non receipt of items and general bad attitude it seems I'm not alone.

As a buyer, surely you'd check this first? I've bought stuff off you in the MM some years ago because you have an impeccable trust record. I wouldn't have shown any interest at all if there were any negatives.

No rather stupidly I never thought to check his feedback. Yet on the MM its the first thing I check. Lesson learned for next time

I haven't had a delivery in the last 3 years where the delivery guy hasn't asked my surname before asking me to sign.
OP had the tablets been opened and used by the guy who signed for them?

Yeah, the guy always asks for your surname, but all they do with that is input it into the handheld thing. When I've signed for other people's stuff it's never mentioned that my surname is different to the person who ordered the item. They just want to know your surname so that they know who signed for it since they won't be able to read a lot of signatures.
