Just built a new PC and decided I want to overclock it.
Specs as per signature.

No intention of becoming a hardcore overclocker, so thought I would be lazy and ask the experts here :-)

BIOS settings have been left as stock, with the exception of XMP settings, and the CPU multiplier giving the below results: -

4.9Ghz vcore 1.344v - Freezes when loading OS
4.8Ghz vcore 1.344v - BSOD after logging in
4.7Ghz vcore 1.332v - BSOD when running IBT
4.6Ghz vcore 1.332v - BSOD when running IBT

4.5Ghz vcore 1.332v - Stable. 20 passes of IBT on max settings - no issues so far.
Max temps during 20 pass IBT were 60, 69, 70, and 65.

Can anyone suggest where i'm going wrong and help out ?
Should I increase the vcore ? I have not done this so far as I recall an article about this MoBo stating there was no need.
I'm not looking to set any new records, and just want a 100% stable overclock for 24/7 use without shortening the life of any components.

Thanks in advance

I tried dropping the Vcore to 1.3v and got blue screens on all multiplier settings !
Went back to 4.5Ghz, voltage set back to auto and its now stable after running 20 runs of IBT (temps are high 50's).
Strangely, the Vcore is now 1.308v .....

I'll leave well enough alone !
