Yet another spec check

Looks pretty good although I'd probably head the other way from getting an 8800ultra and simply buy the cheapest 8800GTX and then see how far I could overclock it.

When you ask "Also how much faster would raid 0 raptors be than getting a second aaks 750gb and using that?" are you talking about using Raid0 on 1.5tb of hard drive space?

RAM's a bit expensive (OCuk 8500 for the win), you don't need a separate SATA drive cable and I would get two smaller hard disks (2 x 320MB) but otherwise it looks pretty good.

Also the thermalright 120 ultra is on special this week, I'd get that and a separate fan.

Yeah, I heard the 750gb aaks perform faster than the smaller varients which is why I picked these, agree on the GTX now I think about it...

The 750gb AAKS is supposed to be the one that uses perpendicular recording so should be faster but I'd query the wisdom of having up to 1.5tb(ish) of data stored on a Raid0 array, if you have a good backup strategy and/or don't care about your data that much then it might be ok however you do increase the chances of something going wrong by using it. :)
