Looks great to me, I would change the mobo to the superior DS3P instead of the DS3, it has much better features. I'd also be tempted to change the HDD to a Samsung Spinpoint, the raptors aren't that much faster and are a waste of money in my opinion! I might be inclined to change the RAM to the special offer GeIL at the moment, it overclocks great :) £60 for 2GB, go on!!!

Thx for the reply, ive heard them 8800's are rather long, would i have any problems with them in that case?

The guys in the Case forum have a dedicated thread on this here

Agree on changing the drive. Have a look at these. I have 2, they are quiet and fast.

I would personally change raptor and get a 500GB harddisk.. cheaper and nearly as fast from what i heard! :D Also the case... sure it will fit? For that budget I would get myself a Thermaltake Armour.

Agree with above, mobo and HD need changing. Also might be worth getting cheaper Geil memory over the Corsair, they're looking a bit overpriced these days.

edit: Welcome to the forums :)

Hmm.. never thought about thermaltake case, ive got one atm, and its decent (or was, bits of it hacked off etc now lol ) but it weights a ton weight, that kinda puts me off their cases... altho i guess now they are all or mostly aluminium so they would weigh a lot less.

Ive been thinking about the graphics as well, i cant decide whether to get that gtx now or not, i keep thinking that maybe holding off until the r600's come out and see how good or bad they are and also what they might do to the price of the gtx

I think that the price of the GTX will lower a bit.. not that much though. It was also supposed to go down with the arrival of the ultra... at least i heard so.

If not for a Thermaltake Case, why not an NZXT. I find those pretty cool and light from what i can read about them! Welcome to these boards bdw.. forgot lol!

Hi again, 1 more question (for now lol), the 2gig of ram, is it enough?, when i showed one of the m8's the spec that was the first thing he mentioned.. is it enough, that and vista, is it worth getting, esp if i stick with 2gig of ram

Unless you plan on installing a 64 bit OS there's no point in having more than 3GB as that's the max a 32 bit can see.

If you are going for Vista then I would strongly recommend the 64-bit edition and thus would probably advise 4GB. Otherwise with XP you should just stick to 2GB.

Thx guys (and sorry for late reply), think i prolly will go with vista and then the 4gig, and also, since ive only got a 17" monitor and so the highest rez is 1280x1024, ive read that the GTX would just be a waste of money on that rez, so thinking of just goin with the 8800 320mb version
