The 6870 doesn't come with 1GB iirc, BF:3 seems to be a VRAM whore, so 2GB is kinda necessary.

6990 or 590 will just about grab 60fps on ultra if the screenshots are anything to go by.I have saw beta videos and screenshots and they pale in comparison to the offical trailers and screenshots released which show the insane textures.
Watch the tank battle gameplay video and study hard how good it looks and look at the sniper video also.Looks about 40% better than anything i have saw from beta so far be it screenshots or videos.
I wont be suprised to find out that those textures used in those videos come later on in a superHD texture pack.
