EVGA 880GTS 320 Superclocked thingy - £200
GeIL Ultra Low Latencay 800mhz 2gbx2 X2 - £180
Asus P5B Deluxe - £120
Intel Xeon X3210 @ 2.13ghz (1066fsb) - £290
Scythe Ninja+ Rev B - £35

Bare in mind he already has HDD,s case, monitor etc. Just wants new guts.

What do you guys think? It's for a friend, he wants to play Supreme Commander as best he can, and also wants to use it for a lot of graphics work. (he's artsy..)

Any thoughts? Wasn't sure about the motherboard or the heatsink..or the PSU...or any of it for that matter.

Comments/advice welcome

As far as possible...though I'd rather not go into the realms of volt modding and water cooling, etc. Just a nice up to 3-3.5ghz would be good.

Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK)

2 specs simply since im not to sure what sort of graphic work he does, so QUAD could be a huge boost depending.

Does he have SATA Hard Drives? If he does just take the Hard Drives out of the Spec, save around 100 Pounds.

Also what case does he has, because the spec with the 8800GTX its a big card so it might not even fit?

Think it's an Antec PlusView 1000 (or at least extremely similar!) Quite big tower. All HDDs are SATA currently as far as I know, if thier not, I'll get him to buy a caddy for his IDE stores.

Sorry should probably have provided a lot more info to begin with, didn't think properly.

Mainly artwork on some big photos, bit of video stuff, likes to Fraps games a lot. He keeps his PC in a bit of a mess tbh, despite being relatively computer literate. Thought the quad would also give him some future headway for upcoming games since that's what he uses the rig for mainly.
