FFS, now i have no idea which cooler to tell people to buy instead of those silly self enclosed thingies.

To be honest, unless a few degrees here and there is all that's on the agenda, I usually tell people to go with the one they like the look of.

The difference in temperature isn't really that much to make a big deal about, unless you are in fact one of those people that constantly monitors core temp to verify your cooler is actually doing it's job. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a little performance for a little more shininess

I don't keep up with coolers as much these days, or I should say I don't keep up with the performance of them all.

I like to know what is coming up and then every so often I'll check out comparisons, but when you're not in the market for a new cooler they tend to pass by with a fleeting interest.

High end air coolers are not that far behind sealed systems and in some situations are better than them (such as the H50/H70 etc). I believe the H100 is still the beast to have, or, of course a custom setup.

Those peter gpu coolers look very nice. Shame my board doesnt allow fitting aftermarket gpu coolers with sli.

can't you move the GU down a sloyt?

I could mate, but id have to move my psu to the top bay. But ill be chaging this case to one that has bottom mounting only. A card in the bottom slot would leave both running at x8 i think, plus it'd also block my front panel usb ports.
