Hi All

Just looking for a little advice (as always) I have a PC with 2 x 9800 GTx’s running in SLI and I have to say overall I have been happy with the performance. However with the new Crysis on the horizon plus others I was wondering what would be a reasonable upgrade path? I have used an SLI combo in the last few PC’s but is it better to think about a single card solution now. Not really looking for enthusiast’s performance just something that will raise the bar a bit so any suggestions gratefully received as I have been out of the graphics card loop for a bit.

Thanks

Hi Slayer, firstly it would help if you can post the rest of your system specs as it will help find a card that will be suitable for your resolution and power supply, not to mention what CPU you are using, as that can cause an issue to with bottleneck.

Edit: Also what budget are you looking at?

AH good point

sorry I should have put in my spec. Quad core 3Ghz and 4 gig of DDR3 power supply about 850. Its an OCUK pre -built system thats about 2 years old now and have not really upgraded it apart for a bit more disk space. Budget between £150 and £300. I don't want to max the latest games out just to improve a bit on what I have now. ;)

Thanks again for the help

Get a rev1 6950 and unlock it to a 6970. The 6970/gtx570 are to expensive. The ti560 does not offer enough performance as its price is to near the 6950 and gtx480. Link to 6950 below.

The best nvidia option is the gtx480. If you want a quiet card then this is not the option for you but at stock its as powerful as a 6950 unlocked to 6970. Link to gtx480 below.
