yet another which 24"

as title says i'm on the look for a 24" monitor, budget £400 max. what would you recomend?

net, watch videos, games i only play tomb raider and need for speed series, nothing taxing in the gaming department.

It's not that really, it's the lack of description and laziness with which you opened this thread.

You're letting people ask the questions you surely know they're going to, when you could have typed out the relevant information and saved some 1s and 0s.

Anyway back to your question, if watching movies and using the internet is more important to you than gaming, I would look for a panel that concentrates on good viewing angles and decent colour reproduction rather than staggering response times. The BenQ FP241W seems to be getting a lot of love, and can be had for your asking price.

OCUK price for that is £423 which i can't streach my budget. so any others which are as good?
I have been looking at the samsung with 10,000:1 contrast ratio is that any good?

For the sake of £23, don't buy it until you can afford £423 or it drops to sub-£400.

if i wasn't about to lose my job then I would go for the benQ, but as I am, money isn't an easy thing to come across, and almost finishing college. I have a couple of plans and still awating things to come through. so please don't have a go, if i'm asking about other monitors that are within the price i specified

The OcUK 24" (Digimate 2442WD) is dirt cheap if money is an issue, but getting a good one could take a few tries.

if you are about to loose you job, then surely you would be better to save the money for real life things like food/rent!?!

I think people get fed up because all the info needed can be found if people just do a search.

And it seems to me that people ask for the same thing from a monitor anyway. It's got to do everything.
