Nice choice. I'd go down the 'Japanese kick-ass girl' route too, but realistically it's not a great choice, for communication reasons.

I mean c'mon, what chance have a horde of flesh eating zombies got of stopping us gluing the door shut with some chewing gum, scaring them away from the windows with a giant shadow sillhouette created via projector, and then building a massive catapault from matchsticks and a couple elastic bands to propell us out of the city?
