** YOU ASKED FOR IT WE GOT IT - CORSAIR K65 RED SWITCH ON OFFER **

Mine should be here Monday, thanks for the speedy processing Nik!

Now I just need a ambidextrous rgb mouse to compliment it...there don't seem to be that many that cycle through the rainbow :p

Mine's arrived - typing this with it.
Very nice bit of kit - great size for gaming and general use.
The cherry red keys are much nicer to type on than the cherry blacks.

Really want to take it for a spin but I'm stuck in the bloatware they use to control the leds.
All I want to do is set my keys the same colour to match the leds in my pc and set different colours for my gaming keys - should be straightforward but it's so unintuitive and skimming through the manual is not helping.
Lots of stuff about setting up all singing all dancing lighting effects but not very clear on doing basic stuff.

manufacturers should really standardise rgb leds
I now have software from 3 different companies - NZXT (buggy), Steelseries (for my mouse - pointless and causes cursor freezes) and now Corsair, which assumes I want lairy lighting effects and to do complicated things.
I just want a single piece of software that controls all the leds in my rig and takes very little resources.

Moan over - was looking forward to playing with this but the software has stopped me.
Good keyboard - stupidly overcomplicated and unintuitive software.
I don't want to mess about with lighting patterns - I want to be gaming or doing some music.

But it is a nice keyboard.
(did I mention the software sucks? why don't they just do a 'lite' version of the software for normal people, so we can set up some simple light settings and get on with stuff. The NZXT software may be buggy but it's simple and quick to use)

Were you using the new version of the software? I'd heard these complaints about the old version, but the new version arrived at the tail end of last year:

CUE 2.0

That's a newer version than the one I downloaded from their website last night (go figure).
I'll try it later - thanks; though I did manage to get some sense into my lighting scheme.
The software user manual didn't seem to match up with the software I downloaded, so the newer version might - cheers.

For those who haven't tried it - this is a great size keyboard; no need to shuffle it about to fit your mouse. (how often do you really use your number pad)
Good build quality - and yes - the cherry red keys are very nice to use.

I'm really falling for this keyboard.

I went through all this last night, the Cue software is a nightmare at first glance.

Make sure you have advanced mode switch on and the switch at the back isn't set to BIOS mode. You have to use both usb connectors if using usb 2.0 port or just the keyboard one for usb 3.0

Set the static keys combos to a profile, make sure thats the active profile, then next to the profile top right, there will be a option to save the profile to the on board memory so you can use it when you exit the Cue software. This only works with static key combos so any rainbow ones etc will need the Cue software active to work.

You can tell its happened because there will be a small microchip icon thingy next to the profile when its saved to on board memory for the device.

Im loving the keyboard, have a tetris theme to admire when i'm not using it - check the corsair forums for some amazing work by people.

Thanks.
I'd done all that but didn't know I could save my static settings to onboard memory. I'll have a play with that (though my active profile still works when I exit CUE - presumably saving to on board memory allows the profile to be active when you boot up, without having to load CUE on start-up; which is good and something I didn't know I could do).

Also loving my keyboard (though not so much the software)

Really folks - if you don't need the numberpad (I know - for those rare non-accountants among us) this is a great little keyboard; my mouse is just where I want it to be now and the keyboard feels great.

im gonna pass..read to much on key chatter, gonna nerd it bit more to see whats a decent keyboard ( not that im saying the corsair isnt decent btw), just not for me
Well, I've got a cat purring loudly on my lap but absolutely no chattering coming from my keys.
Unless I type of course, like now, in which case they make a sound but it's quite a pleasant one.
It's a rather pleasant keyboard to use.
Even the brushed aluminium feels nice as you type, the occasional carress of it it under your fingers (this is a keyboard you'll spend too much time staying in with).
My previous keyboards were a microsoft reclusa and a Mionix Zibal 60 (with cherry black mechanical keys)
This feels much better to type on and to game with - there's a reason Cherry Red keys are universally popular.
A proper volume scroll wheel is all it's missing for me (and some simpler software)

Silly question but I'm looking to get one of these - Can someone confirm the keyboard layout? Is it UK or US?

From the pic, it's US - and there's nothing in the description about it. I'd want a UK one.

Just noticed the product code says "UK" in it so I'll give it a punt.

Every keyboard on OcUK is UK Layout, unless otherwise specified in the title :)
