At that price point Ikea and the Clearance area you may be a good shot.
As others have said you can sometimes find good deals on ebay. I dont know why but good sofas are very expensive, we are in the process of ordering ours and its going to be over 10k

Second hand sofas are exceptional cheap though.
Even hiring a van and paying for 10hrs of petrol would still be a bargain compared to new. Just have to wait until something you like comes up.
Its funny how somethings keep their value and somethings dont.
Yep second hand furniture really does not hold its value.
I sold around £4k worth of my stuff in Prague and I was lucky to get £500 back for it.
