do you ever get annoyed with fps that drop below 30 or the amount of time it takes to load a game on a console compared to your hi end pc?

yes, very.Been playing gears of war 2 recently and it took about a day to re-load a checkpoint when i died. that sort of thing is instant on pc.

Also, world at war 4 player split screen on ps3 has laughable framerates on some maps.

fairly good game though, if a little repetative :)

Playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is painful on the PS3 for loading times, even saving your game takes to long. And the online matchmaking is a joke.

Patching takes ages too, as well as installing.

If there weren't any console exclusives that I wanted to play, then the PS3 would have just gather even more dust than it already does..

Yes & yes

Also, I find the lack of anti-aliasing and hi-res awful on the eyes.

A game has to be pretty damn good and only available on console for me to put up with it. ie; Rock Band and some sports titles...

I find once you get used to the luxury of >50-60fps the slightest stutter seems very annoying.

Very true, when I had mid-range PCs I could put up with inferior console performance as the difference wasn't so dramatic.

Now I have the bee's ball bag of a PC, playing on the 360 feels a little archaic. :/

Will still hang onto it though as there are some exclusives I am very much looking forward to. :)

I am very pro PC and Console and tbh I have a top end PC and I dont ever get annoyed with load times or framerates on the xbox.

Its a myth ;)

to be honest i only have the 360 because EA can't be bothered to do a next gen version of fifa for the pc

oh and for a few racing titles and good exclusives.

I thought about getting a ps3 but it would only really be for MGS4 :-/

Yes. The 720p (on a 1680x1050 screen) thing used to annoy me too but i've gotten used to it. Framerate drops are quite annoying tho.

I wouldn't say my pc is very highend but it's still much better than consoles.

Yep, I've played GTA4 on my PS3 and it's absolute **** compared to PC.

I'm also annoyed with the resolution. Most console games are only 720p, which looks OK on my 1080p screen, but nowhere near as good as a fullHD signal from my PC with anti-aliasing.

Nope not really I have an almost silent Jasper X360 + 120GB HD (with 8MB Cache) & 512MB onboard flash ram for the NXE Dashboard. Loading times are slightly quicker than the X360 20GB & 60GB HD's.

FPS drops are annoying but worse than that is the no vsync screen tearing which can be severe on some games. I found out though that a lot of that is down to your HDTV brand & or cable. VGA to 360 on several games has bad screen tearing yet on MS component cable or HDMI its totally gone on the exact same game so looks like the VGA ouput is broken for some games. It was perfect until a Fall 2006 Dashboard update.

Still prefer PC always but the reality is 360 is getting all the developer/publisher attention. PC is getting very little other than 3rd rate ports which even then are usually better but sometimes much worse.

Until or if the PC regains its rightful position at the top of the tree I have to support the 360 as well.
