you hi end pc owners with a console

Playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is painful on the PS3 for loading times, even saving your game takes to long. And the online matchmaking is a joke.

Patching takes ages too, as well as installing.

If there weren't any console exclusives that I wanted to play, then the PS3 would have just gather even more dust than it already does..

Loading in GT5 is slow? Seriously it takes like 10seconds to load a race with instant restarts, plus saving game is done in the background mostly?

You have actually played it right?

Back on topic: I havent had a high-end pc err... ever! always gone with budget performance and in the last 5years have only really had my laptop seeing as i only really ever play a bit of football manager and was obsessed with Eve Online. Barring those 2 i pretty much stopped playing games on PC until recently i've been hankering for strategy/rpg type games which dont work so well on consoles. Anwyay, do i get bothered with drop in framrates? In a word... it depends

i would not know as i dont have a high end pc.. but i do love the ease of use of my consoles. what i dont like is the lack of communication on most games.

do you ever get annoyed with fps that drop below 30 or the amount of time it takes to load a game on a console compared to your hi end pc?

On occasion, but it doesn't bother me to much. Stuff on the PC bugs me at times too, neither platform is perfect.

I do remember GT5P being incredibly slow at times and even timing out on occasions when matchmaking. Not played it in a while though so maybe with the new updates it has been fixed.

I played a few games, ghost busters which was a awesome game but the frame rate drops and lack of aa really botherd me and i couldnt help thinking i really wanna play this on pc.

Fight night round 3 was the game i most enjoyed i thought it was awesome, i didnt notice the lack of aa or any frame rate drops in that game.

The game that really shocked me was grid. i wasnt expecting much differance between the ps3 version and pc but even the menus was jagged, playing it was evern worse it was hard to notice the lack of aa because of the amount of blur there was of stuff in the distance and the frame rate made it really hard to play compaired with the pc one.

My qestion is, is the xbox much better in terms of frame rates and the nasty bluring. The games i really would wanna play on ps3 are gran turismo and and kill zone 2 do these games suffer in terms of frame rate, from what i have seen they both look amazing but i cant help thinking if a ps3 struggles to run grid i cant imagen what gt5 and kill zone will be like.

PS3 has metal gear solid 4. Xbox dosen't. It's a simple choice.

Are you guys serious about how it looks?

I mean considering most gaming rigs have a Graphic card that costs the price of a XBOX360 & PS3, i think compared they look a lot worse at times on pc graphics wise.

Christ knows how that is possible considering the crappy GPU used in consoles. I find it quite shocking how games just look much better & sharper on a console than pc version.

Infact it ****es me off, i hate console gaming, qould never go back to it. But do feel us pc gamers are slightly fooling ourselves.

We should see a big difference between pc & console version of a game, which we don't it seems, and infact run risk of of worrying about FPS. WTF.........very annoying.
