"You learn something new everyday" - So what did you learn today?

I learned that just because others rely on you, it doesn't mean you can rely on them.

Very sage advice that.

I learned more stuff on dreamweaver, including it has some good templates to get you started somtimes on webpages.

I also learned over the past few days breakfeast *REALLY* makes me feel better, and that combined with a few crunches and press ups in the morning along with a cup of coffee helps me feel ready for work mentally, for what ever reason.

What I've learned yesterday is how to cook spicy roast beef then I decided to make shawarma then adding more toppings onto the sandwich to add flavor. It was really fun :p. Today is different....I save money when I bought school shoes for my nephew in factory outlet stores. But what makes me happy is he really like the shoes. ;)

I have just learned that there is a flesh eating bacteria out there called Necrotizing Fasciitis that can be spread by rats. *

It is completely unstoppable, untreatable, and if a rat comes near anyone anywhere and leaves just a trace behind we're all DOOMED!**

* True

** May or may not be true

Earlier, I learned that it's bloody awesome when women in short skirts sit in the seats that face the back of the bus and you're facing the normal way.

Today I learned internet explorer sucks arse. Actually I already knew that, but today it sucks arse because it wouldn't let me run an AJAX function from a remote site, even when specifying the P3P settings

I learnt that if you buy an new Alfa Romeo, the dealership will present it to you in a red carpet ceremony, where the car is "unveiled" infront of you, and everyone claps

I learned that since the Boeing 747-400 was introduced 21 years ago, there's been 3 accidents and only 2 resulted in casualties.

This is from my boyfriend, who was trying to ease my fear of flying, so I'm not sure how factually correct it is.

For the record, it did nothing to ease my fear :)

That there is indeed a correct way to “do” the members of Girls Aloud.
Contrary to popular belief, Nicola (the ginger one) has to be third.
If she is at the beginning then you may well “fail to get the engine ticking” so to speak, if she is at the end then there is nothing left to look forward to.

This is also known as the “Sporty Spice Principle”.

LOL!

I learnt this morning that the 80s stock market crash was due to Program Trading.

Today I learnt that a 3 day old glass of squash does NOT taste good!

**EDIT** Just now I learnt that the new Intel Xeon E5530 Processor does NOT come with a heatsink!

A thing I never understood, because as far as I'm aware they speak Spanish in Latin America and not Latin. Plus, Latin is Italian in origin and not Spanish so it doesn't make any sense.

I dont understand it myself tbqh...a few laughed in the sports forum when i said that the new Chelsea manager Ancelotti isnt latin but italian...whereas i was thinking Latin in the strictest sense of the word...i was then later corrected so i checked on ze google and found that yes Italians are regarded as latin..so i learnt something new at my expense:p.
